This event is for converts to Islam who wish to deepen their understanding of the role of Mary (Mariam) and Jesus ('Isa) in the Qur'an. For those attendees not from a Christian background, this is a chance to discover these figures through the lens of Islamic teachings.
For some people, Christmas can be fraught with family tensions around belief and practices, particularly around the sensitivities that some may feel regarding the holiday. While some find family gatherings at this time a source of joy, others may face anxiety or misunderstandings about the permissibility of certain beliefs or practices. The aim is to identify the different challenges individuals face and offer guidance on navigating family dynamics and personal beliefs with sensitivity and compassion.
Lectures, demonstrations and workshops will be delivered across the one day retreat in the historic city of Cambridge.
